Contract Retoucher & Graphic Designer
Offsite retoucher of Ready to Wear and Still Life Product for designer brand re-launch, headquartered in NYC. I work directly with the photographers, apparel designers, and web designers. Aside from retouching high end, high res looks both on model and still life, I also organize and archive images and am in constant contact with the web design team. With the launch this position has been immensely deadline oriented and communication as a whole team has been extremely important. Other tasks include the design and layout of emailers, etc.

Remote retoucher for designer brand 's NYC headquarters. Tasks include retouching ready to wear and still life product, namely bags and jewelry. Edits undergo a strict series of revisions before going live on the website. Maintaining a very high level of consistency with the brand's aesthetic and guidelines along with extremely strong attention to detail and quality are a must, along with meeting deadlines and good team communication with in-house retouchers and art directors.

In house full time retoucher for e-commerce fashion site until the companies downsizing, then remote freelance retoucher. I worked directly under the retouching manager on a variety of images including ready to wear, full looks and editorials. Within weeks of starting, the retouching team was ahead of the workload for the first time and I was able to identify and address ways to remain more efficient. This position required a strong attention to detail as well as the ability to multi task while meeting strict deadlines. Position also required upload of all images to the live site, as well as quality control checks of the site itself for any errors. Good communication between retouching team, managers, photographers and stylists was a must.

Main tasks include retouching skin and hair on live models, taking out wrinkles, lengthening or shortening articles of clothing, compositing images, and color correcting products. Other tasks include renaming and sorting files, cropping to brand's specifications, and lining up images for consistency.

This position generally involves all retouching of images both digital and film, for web and press. Namely color correcting and web optimization. Other duties include creating workflow, batch editing, film scanning, communicating with various press editors, and utilization of great organizational skills. I am currently web coordinator and designer for Ms. Allen's project with Haitian women, OFEDA Haiti ( www.ofeda.com ) I also maintain Ms. Allen's personal website.
The position is also a book editing position. I have worked with Ms. Allen on everything from scanning film to editing and retouching images, creating layouts and editing text for her book Flowers in the Desert. I also designed and ran a Kickstarter campaign to help cover publishing costs.
